Sirius led the way over to the portrait whole and helped the girl go first. Once he clambered through he snaked his arm around her waist and led the way down into the grounds, where, sure enough, Filch was waiting to shove his security probe up every crevice he could reach.
"Hey!" Sirius shouted, "watch where you poke that thing!" Sirius shouted after a quite unfriendly poke. He waited for Anne to get finished being searched, which curiously took less time and less pokes than it had for him, and then snaked his arm around Anne's waist again, now waiting for Lily and James. "So, uh, where do you want to go first?" he asked to nobody in particular. "You wanted to go to The Three Broomsticks for butterbeer, right?" he asked, looking down into Anne's eyes. 'Oh, great. More alcohol,' he thought grimly to himself but smiling all the same.

Anne was completely caught in Sirius’s trap, unable escape his gentleman act. As he helped her though the door, she savored the feeling of his skin against hers, and swooned as she inhaled his scent when he wrapped his arm around her waist. Wow, usually the guys wouldn’t even look at me on the first date. He must be very experienced…and now he’s all mine! Anne waited impatiently as Filch poked and probed her, and therefore causing Sirius to remove his hand from her waist, but once she joined him, his arm snaked its way back around her waist, and when he looked at her, she almost fainted.
“I’m alright with whatever you want to do Sirius,” she replied back weakly.
“I think we should keep him away from the drinks for a while, unless he was smart enough to save any of that potion I gave him,” Lily replied as she walked over to them. Her probing took the least amount of time.
Lily felt like an unwanted third wheel on the date, and didn’t know why she even told James that she didn’t have a date. Why didn’t I just send someone in my place? It would have been a lot less awkward than now. I think Anne isn’t liking my being here and also being “close” with Sirius.
When Lily came over and mentioned the potion, a thought popped up into Anne’s head. Sirius is handsome, and while Lily spent so much time with him, he could have easily charmed her into falling for him and forget about James. What if the potion she gave him was a love potion to make Sirius fall in love with her. I mean, come on, a double date? Why would his parents care who he goes out with? Stop it Anne, Lily is your friend and would never do that. As Anne argued and panicked within herself, James joined them, and they were ready to head off on their little date.

"Alright, Love," Sirius said, walking forward along the path to Hogsmeade but still looking into her eyes. His statistics showed that girls loved this. "We'll go to The Three Broomsticks, seeing as I know you wanted to go there." Sirius honestly didn't really feel like being all too charming today, and it was a double-date, so he didn't suggest Madam Puddifoot's. He really wasn't in the mood, either.
"So," Sirius said, running a hand through his hair. "what's your favorite subject in school?" Sirius knew it was a lame question, but girls usually liked it when he asked about them and their feelings, and the question didn't usually matter. For good measure, Sirius flashed a brilliant grin her way and tightened his grip slightly around her waist.

Lily turned towards James, unable to keep the smile off her face, “Sorry you were forced into this with me. Do you mind?” she asked in a pleasant voice, deciding to stop fighting fate’s directions and allow the two of them to get closer.
Anne was just falling over Sirius and his charms not knowing what else to do. He gets girls so well! “Defense against the Dark Arts. I love learning how to do curses and spells we can actually use,” she replied, not really wishing to talk about school too much. She wanted to know everything about him. “What about you?”

"Same," he said, grinning again. "It's all very fascinating to me. Potions seems kind of useless to me seeing as you have a spell book it's pretty self explanatory, Charms isn't really much of a challenge and History of Magic is only good for sleeping, but I'd say Transfigurations is tied with Defense Against the Dark Arts. It's bloody useful," he said, not bothering to censor his language.
Talking to her was nice. She, at least, could keep her thoughts together when he looked at her. She wasn't stuttering or afraid to speak like many girls he had gone out with in the past. But still, something was off. She really was pretty and intelligent, but something in her expressions, in her face, was off. Shrugging this off, Sirius didn't bring up another topic, but looked back over his shoulder at Lily and James. She actually looked like she was having a good time, and didn't have that strained look of stress she normally did while in the castle. James looked happy, too. He was glad, that was the whole reason he had arranged this plan in the first place. To help his best mate out. James was practically a brother to him.
Turning back to the pathway and continuing to walk, Sirius smiled to himself. This was a pretty excellent idea, if he did say so himself.

James fought to roll his eyes at Sirius' sudden fawning over Anne, but kept his mouth shut, since Anne seemed to be enjoying and even basking in the attention. She seemed smart, but having only spoken to her a few times, and then only tokenly, he couldn't be sure; but she was Lily's friend and he didn't think she'd choose a total airhead to be a confidant. Then again... there was Snape. Guess not even Lily could be spotless.
He broke out of his thoughts at Lily's question and shrugged. "Sirius is my mate and as much as he pisses me off sometimes, I'm not about to leave him alone in the hands of a woman." He gave Lily a lopsided smile. "Besides, I'm not complaining."

“That’s really great that you guys stick together like that no matter what. Well, I’m glad you’re not complaining since it seemed like Sirius dragged you into this deal without your permission,” Lily smiled up at him, enjoying herself now that there was a conversation started. “As for leaving him the hands of a woman, it looks like he’s doing perfectly fine. Plus, Anne isn’t very dangerous…until she gets jealous.” She smiled, remembering Anne’s last date and what happened to him when he started flirting with a waitress on their date. Poor chap. “James, can I ask you something? How come you hate Sev so much?” she asked when she noticed her friend in the crowd. It would not do me good for me to have my hopefully boyfriend and my best friend fighting and going at each other’s throats every other second.
Meanwhile, Anne was just wandering next to Sirius, trying to figure the perfect question to ask him. Ah, here’s one. This will defiantly get some kind of compliments for me. “So, Sirius. I was wondering why you decided to say yes to our date?”

Sirius knew this was a trap, but he was well informed on the inner workings of the female mind and knew how to skate through this question pretty much unscathed. Many girls tried to pull this one on him.
"Well," Sirius began, pretending to think for a minute as the quicker girls tended to realize it was just a line he used on every other girl, "the reason I said yes was because I couldn't think of a single reason I would ever want to say no." Sirius looked down at her and cocked his head to the side. He smiled and flashed his teeth at her, and blew his hair out of his face from the side of his mouth.
They finally reached the village and Sirius unwrapped his arms from Anne's waist to go ahead and open the door for her. He followed her through the door and walked over to a table with four chairs. He stood behind one and held out the chair for Anne, saying, "After you," in seductive tones.

James gave Lily a sidelong glance, still not sure if he trusted this 180 in attitude toward him. Women were fickle things and confused him at every turn, and Lily even more so; first she hated him and didn't want anything to do with him, and the next she was sucking up to him like he was the greatest thing in the world. What was up with that?
Until he heard her question. Then he understood; butter him up so he wouldn't think so lowly of Snivellus, though he doubted his opinion of the boy could get any lower. Butter him up so he'd cover his opinion of Snape to keep her around and maybe she could do a little spying? Right. James never honeyed the truth, unless it was to save his own skin, but at the moment, he just wasn't in the mood.
"He's a Death Eater, Lily, someone that follows Voldemort and his warped sense of the world," James replied. "He hates Muggles and Muggle-born wizards and if he follows the Dark Lord, then Snape wants to destroy them as much as he does. People like that..." He paused, searching for the right word. "They're just... insane. It's sickening and makes me ill to even think about it. So there you go. I don't like him because he follows a wizard willing to blow up the world for his own twisted ideals."
He grabbed the door as Sirius let it fall behind him with no regards to the pair behind him (typical when he was with a girl) and let Lily enter before him, not really paying attention to Sirius' actions with Anne. It was all automatic, the niceties played to the other sex. And he wasn't feeling especially nice at the moment.

“Yea, I know. He’s not even denying that that’s what he’s going to do when he gets out of Hogwarts. I was just hoping maybe staying friends with him, I could change him. But, I thought maybe with you guys, it could have been that rivalry between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Maybe it’s time I give up on him,” Lily muttered, not looking at James as she sat down. “Anyway, what are you planning on doing? You could probably go into Quidditch and be pretty good,” she asked, trying to forget about what they just said.
Anne rolled her eyes, knowing that was the same response that he gave to every girl Sirius had gone out with. Still, though, it was nice to hear it said to her. Anne didn’t know what to say anymore and decided to let Sirius pick the next topic. Across from them, Lily and James were talking, but she didn’t pay them any mind.

Sirius sat down next to Anne and put his arm around the back of her chair, allowing his leg to lean against hers. "So, try to cut me off today," Sirius said, "Apparently I had a little too much to drink last night and you never know what I'm up to doing when I'm drunk," Sirius said as he winked at Anne.
At just that moment Madam Rosmerta, a curvy young witch who appeared to be barely twenty, came over to take their orders. Sirius wasn't really a flirt, he just had a certain way of speaking which made him appear that he was. And if the girls happened to mimic his way of speaking, he could rarely be blamed for that.
Regardless, the effect was instantaneous. Sirius' smooth voice rang out as he ordered butterbeers for the table, and the waitress' expression softened from stress to something much less stressful. And Sirius, being his normal cocky self added, "One for you as well," he said, "You look like you've been having a rough day." She gave a tinkling laugh and politely declined murmuring something about "having to work."
When she left, Sirius turned back to Anne and smiled at her, but didn't really understand what he saw on her face.

Remus had awaken early and had snuck up to the dorms early to change and clean himself up from last night's mess. Everyone else was still lost in their dreams, or drunken stupor, whatever. Silently, he descended back down to the common room, books in tow and feeling much better.
He really didn't care to wait for the others to go down for breakfast, he was hungry dammit. Plus, he knew the other two had hot dates later, if they would be up in time. That alone relieved Remus, and it wasn't just because he had the day alone. Even though he was sure Sirius was pig drunk last night, certain statements were still nagging at the back of his mind. Remus attempted to just shrug it off and not let it ruin his night as he buttered his biscuits and filled his plate with eggs and pancakes.
It was a good meal, and Remus was out of the great hall before the steady stream of excited students began to file in. Remus had full intentions on using this luxurious day in the library, but he began to think about how his stash of Honeyduke's sweets was running a bit low lately and this would be the best time to make a quick dash up for a refill. Ohh, how Remus loved his chocolate.
So with that, the boy ambled past Filch and down the road with some of the very early risers to Hogsmeade, and soon came across the Sweet Shop. Opening the door, Remus's nose was filled with the sweet smells of Fizzing Wizbees, Sugar Quills, Toffees, Stringmints, Drooble's Best, chocolates, and many many more.
It was almost like walking into Heaven for students. Remus grabbed a basket by the door and began to fill it with his favorite sweets.

Anne’s face filled with obvious jealousy as Sirius flirted with the waitress, even offering to buy her a butterbeer along with their order as well. How could he flirt with her when he’s on a date with me? This is ridiculous. “I said yes because I couldn’t find anything to say no to” or something like that. IF he liked me that much, why does he waste his time on a waitress instead of with me. When he turned to face her with a smile, she didn’t look very pleased.
Oh, no. Now he’s done it. Sirius has defiantly bought himself some major trouble right there. Lily thought as she became aware of the emotions written clearly on her friend’s face. Poor Sirius…I wonder what she might do to him? Maybe I should try and calm her down...
"Come on Sirius, just because you like our Anne so much here, that doesn't mean you need to sweet talk the waitress into getting her the best butterbeer this place has to offer. Don't think we don't know your tricks" Lily joked hastily, trying to clear the jealousy from her friend's face.

James didn't say anything to Lily's comments, but rolled his eyes at Sirius' flirtatious attitude toward the waitress. Yeah, just like the bugger to be on a date and start looking for tail wherever he can find it, he thought uncharitably, then felt a bit guilty. Sirius was a known flirt, but James was pretty sure that's why he transformed into a dog; dogs loved people and as much as Sirius was a pain in the ass most of the time (ok all of the time) he had such an easy way with people that sometimes it astounded even him.
As Lily tried to placate her friend, he leaned forward, pointedly kicking Sirius -- hard -- under the table and ignoring his doggish yelp. "Yeah, just ignore this prat. Personally, I just think he's trying to get her to lower the bill, cheap git that he is." Which was probably true; God knew how many times his flirtatious attitude had won them free food at other restaurants.

Sirius felt an overwhelming surge of gratitude toward Lily, "Babe," he said, leaning over to stare directly into Anne's eyes, "I said yes to you, remember?" he said. Women were so complicated. Trying not to roll his eyes, he gave his best bad but contrite puppy look and asked in the sweetest voice he could, "Could you ever forgive me?" Sirius asked, his grey eyes wide.
This was Sirius' problem with girls. They all heard his reputation and all knew what to expect but still wanted to date him anyway. Then they got mad when he acted exactly as they knew he would. He really wouldn't act this way if it weren't for the perception they had of him, he doesn't enjoy being like this. As far as he was concerned, they made him into what he was.
