Quidditch? Neco repeated in her head, eyes skipping between the two girls in front of her. Dragon trainers? I wonder if there was anything else in those cigarettes besides nicotine. She didn't say any of this out loud, but leaned back further in her seat, digging her fingers into Mister's spotted coat. He swiveled his head to look at her for a moment, then flicked his ears and turned his attention back out the window.
Clouds had been gathered while the two Slytherin girls had talked and darkness descended, causing the overhead lights to flicker on as the clouds covered the moon. Drops of rain spattered against the train's windows in a half-hearted attempt to live up to England's reputation, but died away as the steam engine pulled into the Hogwarts Station. It rumbled to a halt with a low groan, then steam billowed from beneath the cars as the engine finally died.
Not even time for a last cigarette, Neco thought mournfully. What a way to start the school year.

(( OH MY GOSH SORRY. I'z just pretend nothing happened, 'kayz?? ))
"I'm Keeper," Christine said, annoyance touching her tone. Her true ambition was certainly not back in the most boring position on the team, but apparently she was 'too good' at Keeper to have another position. She was an amazing Chaser, but stupid Flint favored bigger, more aggressive friends of his. Stupid school politics.
As the two talked about Quidditch and other such topics into the darkness, the Hogwarts Express slowed to a stop. Christine hurriedly pulled her robes on and got ready to go. Aaralyn hopped up on her shoulders and hooked in with her long claws. "I think she's ready to go 'play' with Mrs. Norris," Christine grinned.
